Shadows of Eden, a progressive metal/rock band from Arkansas, bring forth their passion for playing music in their new album titled Dance of the Gypsies Pt.2 . These well accomplished musicians bring to you great guitar grooves and melodies that interplay with the passionate story telling vocals, while the drums take you for a definite journey to the dark side-- dominantly setting the pace and feel for every song.

Caravan of the dead was one of my favorites. I really enjoyed the beginning riff, which actually sounded exactly like a “caravan of the dead”. Things get even more exciting after the intro, the pace of he drums change and the vocals come in, which are quite excellent-- very dark and full of imagination. Beast of Burden Beast of Vengeance was another favorite; the song is successful musical composition in all measures.

I will also admit that I enjoyed how the vocals briefly went into a high-pitched “King Diamond” throughout the album, I hope for more of that since the vocalist is very good at it.

Looking forward to more albums in the future from these guys.
