Method of Destruction or M.O.D. for short has been around since the late 80's spreading their own brand of crossover thrash and hardcore punk to the masses. At the helm of M.O.D. has always been Billy Milano, but this time he's back with a brand new band. Billy handled the bass and brought in ex-Laaz Rockit/Skinlab guitarist Scott Sargeant and Anthem drummer Derek "Lennon" Lopez to back him up for the new album and they sound really tight for a hardcore band. As always, Milano handles the vocals and his gruff yelling vocal style is typical for hardcore punk. Billy has always been one to try and provoke reaction through his music. Throughout Red, White & Screwed he pokes fun at many including illegal immigrants ("Jose Can You See?")King Diamond & Metallica ("Greatest Lie Ever Told") and scene unity ("Hardcore Harry"). I would say this his most serious outing to date though. Even through the mocking that he does on some tracks, there seems to be an air of seriousness ("Suicide Bomb Pop" & "Bullshit Politics") that was never really there before. I've never been a big fan of hardcore punk and though this is good for the style of music it is, it's just not for me. If you are into M.O.D., Agnostic Front, and similar bands then you'll most likely dig this album.
