This is a beast of a demo from this Finnish quintet! Pyrotoxic play fast and angry thrash metal in the style of Dark Angel, early Slayer and Destruction. The only difference? Pyrotoxic’s vocal duties are handled by a woman named Liisa! Even though at times she sounds strained she still has an excellent vocal delivery that fits the music well. Ville, the guitarist writes all the music and can shred as well. They just recently took on Antti as a second guitarist and Teemu on bass. Drumming duties are handled well by Markus. Judging by this 4 track demo, Pyrotoxic are very promising. They play aggressively and better than most of the bands in this whole recent thrash movement bullshit that is going on. They seem to actually want to play the music rather than worry if their white high tops are “retro” enough. I look forward to hearing a full length from Pyrotoxic and hopefully soon.
