Dance Or Die are one of the pioneers in the world of alternative music and when I got chance to review their new album Nostrodamnation I took the bull by the horns and had a good listen.

When you start the album you are greeted by the with the dark vocal and lyrical delights of Helious.  It maintains the dark style we know from Dance Or Die so far and gives you an insight into the rest of the darkness to which we any Dance Or Die fan has come to love.  The music contains a more technical aspect to the other Dance Or Die albums in my mind but yet it manages to retain the Dance Or Die style.

After Helious comes the title track Nostrodamnation which chills its way to your heart with a hint of the industrial edge that the rest of the album gives you in certain parts.

The true goth industrial wonder hits you with the songs Sleeping In Your Grave, Tuatha Du Danann, Empty Heart, This Censored Innocence, Centropolis and W.T.E.O.T.C.  Giving way to more heavier industrial sounding tracks like 4 3 2, Purgatory and Mr Armageddon.

But don’t be fooled by all this as there are still very dark Dance Or Die songs we all love like Novus Ordo Seclorum which is an instrumental, Hello To You Good Sense, and the album ending with the song that provide a fitting conclusion to the album Lo Boy Truck.

All in all I was really amazed with Nostrodamnation as it manages to keep all the great elements of Dance Or Die, yet throws some amazing new ideas which complement the style of Dance Or Die.  Whether a Dance Or Die fan or not if you like alternative music you will love the new Dance Or Die album.  It’s a thoroughly good buy as the quality of the music is supreme and you will be left listening for a long time.  This CD is sure to become one of your most listened to.

If I had to give this CD a score out of 10 it would get a solid 9.
