Reviews CD Reviews Gothic The Divine Madness- Neverworld

Artist: The Divine Madness

CD Title: Neverworld

Reviewer: Jules Cohen

Date: 12/6/09

Pop/Alterna band that toots themselves as -Alice in Wonderland meets the goth world...then this would be true. Beautiful vocals by Victoria(innocent yet with the seasoned voice and recognition of 80s-Abba) and gang with the driving force of a metal pop sound. "Alive" is the perfect song to start off their latest release and had a ethereal rock piano that conjures up running through the woods. The Divine Madness was clearly influenced by the 70s rock greats- journey, Queen and brought us their own craft today. A big shoutout to "The Unknown" for being so beautiful and real- "nothing so pure, nothing lasts for ever" with detailed lyrics. Don't stop here..."Medicine" haunts oh so good.
