"West coast gothic rockers bring together some of their more popular songs on one great compilation. Safely said, a healthy dose of gothic aesthetics smothered tastefully w/ new wave, pop flavors & textures. Writing deep & dispirited pieces that are danceable thought provoking, & inspiring, it's no wonder they're such a popular band in the Goth scene. Half of the track list are all remixed versions lending a synth pop edge, while the other half are presented in their original format of more stripped down, dark pop rock anthems. However, "The Storm (Fairytale)" is the only real drastic departure from their traditional direction as its new altered version vibrates of something spawned by Delirium or Apoptygma Bezerk w/ its hedonistic & melancholic techno flair. Stand out songs include "Into the Ghost", "Now & Forever (Eternity Mix)", "Violets Wedding", "Winter (Hivers Mix)", "Do you Believe in Angels (Euro Dance Edit)", "impossible Things", "Flesh (Flesh for Life)", "She's Dancing", & "Inside (Kane Mix)". Excellent production. Highly recommended." www.thelastdance.com
