Resurrection Eve “Rapture” (Ground Under Productions) “It’s as if God dropped a celestial being into earths midst & in the guise of a passionately assessed electronic synth act that professes of love, death, life, despair, but above all, hope. Not far off from VNV Nations continuous ideals of successive progression in the name of self improvement for the better of mankind, Australia’s Resurrection Eve provide their own brand of vision in a striking vein of infectious hooks & the awesome, deep, & poetic lyrics. Jordan’s vocals even brings to mind VNV´s Mick Harris, yet these guy’s don’t fall short of sounding like complete copycats as they incorporate the use of extravagant guitars in some of their songs, & it works much to their advantage. Their songs speak volumes as opposed to numb techno beats & bass dully played randomly w/ no end in sight. Resurrection Eve are providing more dark dance pieces for the meshwork of apocalyptic dance floors worldwide & they can easily pass at more commercial, mainstream clubs. The music is that good! “Rapture” plays like a sort of concept piece imbued on contagious dance rhythms & a neo wave romantic quality which recalls a poutier Depeche Mode that’ll find its way into the nerves of the most fragile framed & isolated dance types. Uplifting but not w/out a perception of some darkness crawling about. Every track is defiantly worth the listen! Should appeal to both the Goth & Industrial crowds as well as anyone willing to give them a chance.” –Marcos www.Resurrectioneve.com |
