March 15 have released Our Love Becomes a Funeral Pyre, a manifestation of pure noise which sounds as if something is just wrong with the recording.

About this album by March 15 I can be really brief: I think it is awful. This album can pride itself in being the very first recording that I just can't bring myself to listen to it in its entirety, even though it is only 38 minutes in length.

Our Love Becomes a Funeral Pyre is a rerelease of the original recording of 10 years ago of this experimental project. It's quite cynical that this blob of darkness and noise is (and was, 10 years ago) released on Valentine's Day. To add to the kvlt status of the album, it was only first released in 2008, and then only in Chile, even though the material was recorded in 2004.

March 15 is an experimental project of Sami Albert “Witchfinder” Hynninen, whom we know from bands such as Reverend Bizarre and Opium Warlords. Some extra material recorded in 2013 was added to this rerelease. The new material has been written and produced with the thought and purpose of fulfilling a circle of a theme album about the harsh reality of love, loss, isolation, and emptiness, with a coherent musical structure and continuity.

The most interesting part of Our Love Becomes a Funeral Pyre might be the titles of the tracks, with names such as “The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name” or “Claustrophilic Love of the Warm Dark Places Where the Masters of War Make Their Home”. The music, to me, just does not sound like anything at all.
