“New solo outing from one of the founding members of Ataraxia. Vittorio Vandelli’s new solo album finally sees the light of day and certainly not a moment too soon. Joined by the angelic Francesca, also of Atataraxia, “A Day of Warm Rain in Heaven” is more or less something they might do together under their already established guise yet with this release it seems both artists have found a new spawning ground for more experimental ideas not necessarily fitting in with Atataraxia. There’s much more use of electric guitars with further innovative new age pop and world music musings not undoing their regard towards medieval and esoteric beliefs. And with such a truly superior record that out does a lot of their contemporaries in the scene, it’s evident this record needs to be heard by a vast majority of listeners. “Farewell, farewell, thou Wedding guest” features hints of ethereal electronics among the organic ozone. The acoustic tranquility of “Beneath the Lighting and the Moon” with it’s sampling of crashing rain opens the gallows of into “My Heart as Dry as Dust” that propels into a misty cabaret with Francesca’s seductive voice leading the blue torrent further with the delicate guitars from Vittorio and “The Ocean Green” continues in their beautiful, sorrowful manner. “A Day of Warm Rain in Heaven” is as definitive as anything more mainstream new age artists are doing or ever did as it’s catchy with it’s dreamy choruses and instrumentals full of momentum and all at once, moving. A truly beautiful song. Other stand out songs include “For the Sky and the Sea and the Sea and the Sky!”, “A Sadder and a Wiser Man”, “I Killed the Albatross”, “The Moment I could Pray”, “Whispers o’er the Sea”, etc. One of the music industry’s best kept secrets. Look out for them. Highly recommended if you like Enya, Lisa Gerrard, Qntal, etc.” –Marcos
