Coming out swinging on plenty of e.p's, albums, and remixes It is Corroded Master from the lovely city of Sacramento. His latest album The Deceiver takes us in many different directions but all nonetheless staying true to his style that he conveys in every inch along the way...So let’s take a look!

As the haunting synth rises from the cloudy depths, conjured up from the abysmal, semi-translucent median between scapes of wooden acres and the haunting night sky the echo rings out clear amongst Vince’s filtered-like approach of calls both in clear radiant rays flirting with an angst shouting approach that of witch like undertones both musically and inspiration alike. As the nights calling heeds to end in the first track entitled, Romans 5 12 one thing is for sure. This is nothing like what I was accustomed to from listening to Corroded Masters first official full length album Ich Bin Eins. But let’s take a walk further down the narrow trails brought forth at the crossroads amongst the howling night sky.
 
From what seems like an abrupt stop in the witching hour, America Is Destruction brings a full onslaught to the forefront on a blazing path started by the harsh vocals laid down in only a couple seconds of the start of this track building itself up with the witchery cast of synth leads glimmering like rain amongst the leaves spiraling threw the first verse shortly catching speed with the drop of another lead line much like an octave up thrusting into the chorus leading us into another brilliant line embedding itself with the gloomy pad giving the chorus a dark and deep feel but all this soon stops to a halt for me when the double bass like approach begins, drowning out some of the brilliant work that was created.

Regaining the stance of self evident control with a title much appropriate for the journey there is, Surviving Life that keeps us running to breathe life into every step along the way as the darkened clouds settle and the metallic neon-like synth sharpens its edges, glistening to find a brighter day in all hopes that divide but gaining strength dragging a hard electro-esque chorus across the forbidden land, as what seems like a corpse brought up from the dead Vince's vocal works beginning to taunt the bringer of death towards the last chorus adding the clear vocal style we have noticed from the beginning of the first track drawing itself to an end of the rain and tapering down to silence. Not getting comfortable with the silence that feels like the ground shaking underneath us, Instigator really shines the style that Corroded Master has turned into from his previous albums. Combining many elements of harsh-ebm, synthpop, and witchouse constructed into a fierce formula that works very well within this projects matured sound, letting the darkness shine amongst the force-fed happiness in a society of decay.

 No Prisoners rises a brighter tone amongst the sun dawning its face in the night sky delivering a soothing, progressing lead intro dropping into the verse with the swelling pad hanging like clouds blurring the path that we think were traveling on. A brilliant chorus marked with the transcending slant gripping the second verse pummeling itself towards the end to carry forth into E.F.FECT that at first listen might take you a step back with the style that makes me think of sampled break beats, But like Corroded Master has shown they can make anything work in the witchery mind of Vince to unfold a creative, genius at times, glimpse into the mind.

The morning rises, and the light still shines with A New Red Sea that brings a more synthpop vibe into the clouded skies of the early hours taking a more pop approach in the chorus then some tracks but alas, I've already listened to this track twice in a row at awe of the production and intelligent use of structure. Just brilliant!

Taking a final stand back into reality of the world we have Sheep Go To Heaven, Goats go to Hell that if you thought you already herd most genres of electronic music already. So, here is another track that consists of a hardcore/synth/any electronic genre you can possibly think of track that well. This track didn’t serve much justice for me.

The echoing vibrant synth makes its mark again on the last Corroded Master track The Deceiver creating a melodic atmospheric approach to the madness ending the album perfectly. But throws the tales of reality in the hands of five other artists to cast their own magic in the form of remixes that consists of Bleeding Corp, Sycle, bio genesis, Nahtaivel (that I must add did a great job on this version of Sheeps Go to heaven, Goats go to hell) and Detuned Destruction that did an outstanding job with E.F.FE.C.T creating a very hard electro track.

To sum it all up, taking all this in at one punch never seemed like I had to force myself to finish this album (which is a great thing as this album consists of fifteen tracks total) and One thing for certain is that Corroded Master are really doing their own thing,  and mighty fine to boot! I can’t say as a total package this album really sounds like any other artist's offerings which is an amazing thing to hear in the gauntlet of electronic projects that have risen in the last couple years. Corroded Master does it and does it well.
