Coming from Hessen, Germany, Eisschock is a strange female solo Electro/EBM artist. Her songs and lyrics are very unique. Spanning just over 26 minutes in length, Eisschock's "Play The Game" EP is a very enjoyable listen. This EP is a follow up to her first album "Therapie", which got a lot of good responses. I recommend you check out that album as well.
The musical styles range from melodic Synth Pop, feisty Dance floor rhythms, and a combination of German and English female vocals. Being only released in digital format, this is something you should download ASAP! You can find this catchy gem on iTunes, Amazon, Musicload, and various other locations. I really enjoy the opening track "Hass Mich"...the synth is very powerful, and the vocals are intriguing to say the least.
Another standout track is "Pictures Of The Past" a great nostalgic song with driving beats and weird sound effects that would be great for a night clubbing with your best pals or a nice evening at home alone with some quality MDMA.
The lyrical content deals with a lot of psychological issues…it is a head on collision of warmth and coldness. She can be quite deceiving…and interesting. She really makes you wonder about her past, present, and future. Definitely keep your eye on this blazing German Industrial Pop queen, Im sure she will have plenty more great tunes to offer us in the near future….
