So, Digital Factor, we meet again. Part from the incredible “Rape Me” cover of
Nirvana’s original track, it’s been a while since I listened to Digital Factor.
Actually, the only album I’ve heard besides the new Looking Back To Go Forward
is their 1999 release Over One Million Times and that album is also in itself
the reason why.

Over One Million Times was a boring and dull experience, so have Digital Factor
shaped up during these ten years? Well, both yes and no, as “Look Back to Go
Forward,” is like a bull without a soul. It’s all pumped up with muscles and
testosterone, but without the will, it’s still going nowhere. However, there is
more push in it and every once in a while the rhythmic EBM carry you away, but
just not far enough. While you are listening, you have the sensation of being
in a musical car that is driven forward, but with the hand break jammed.

The tracks, “Look Back to Go Forward,” and “Dopamin” are pretty decent and I
bet they could kick-start a dance floor, but that’s about it. I think I will
wait another 10 years before I try out Digital Factor again.
