Look out! Punto Omega is ready to take over the electronic world. The new self-titled "Punto Omega" is a pretty impressive debut for this Argentinean duo. It is nice to see a great EBM duo come out of Argentina, known for many pop rocks acts. If you are a big fan of bands like Hocico and Suicide Commando, this is a band to check out. They have brutal electronics, making for top notch EBM. The vocals are aggressive and have this added distortion that adds to the electronic fusion. From start to finish, the music of Punto Omega is never boring, and their music is like ear candy. What I also like about their sound is the mix of heavy guitars within the programming, especially during the song called "Punto Omega". The programming also uses orchestrated strings to add extra harsh melodies. Another strong song would be "Guerra en los Cielos", pitting airy electronics against their harsh EBM workings. This is a CD that never lets up with the pace. My next pick for listening would be "Mundo de Robot", where the electronics tend to have more of a military sound, full of aggression and stabbing heavy guitars. Overall Punto Omega's debut album is aggressive and full of rich EBM.
