The latest album “Many Nights”, by The Perfects, offers concise songs that have a retro heart and an alternative synth blend. It's fabulous!!!
"Revo" is a synth-alterna gem that is spacey, groovy and that may remind people of The Killers. Stunning!! This goes right into my iPod for the summer!!
"Come Down," sounds like an alternative/electro vs. of any Cure song.
Other standouts- the whole album! Besides that... play this one loud: "End of Us." And my other favorites are "Girls That Dance" and "Christine". Very 80s inspired - Psych Furs, Murray Head, Talk Talk and the more current Shiny Toy Guns. These tracks are examples of the nice blend of all these inspirations together on one album.
Now, the icing on the album cake: "Party of Two", strong vocals and a super tune. And "The Hidden" - the band's rockin out with Pete Jones...wow! And very P/I/L sounding.
The whole album just went into my iPod playlist..... Do the same, kids!
