Album Title:"Feels Like Christmas"/"Electric"

Featuring a new Christmas single and another song culled from an
upcoming EP, California's The Heathers deliver a slice of new
wave-infused alternative pop on this brief two song sampler. "Feels
Like Christmas" features archetypal new wave christmas single
elements, jangling sleigh bell percussion providing a backdrop for
cascading xylophone chimes, coalescing with beautiful melodies,
layered female vocals, and an ethereal essence that falls somewhere
between "Welcome Christmas" from Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole
Christmas and those 80s new wave holiday classics that many of us grew
up with. "Electric", on the other hand, is a catchy guitar-driven
number about the contemplation of a new relationship backed by a
steady electronic beat and featuring an infectious chorus, drawing
comparisons to a number of female-fronted 90s electronics-savvy alt
rock bands including Poe, Garbage, and Elastica. With an
exceptionally solid holiday offering and an equally impressive new
single, here's hoping the band's upcoming EP continues the streak.
