1)What the name of your band and Who the current members?

IN-A-SENSE : Steve Ferraro and John Sepulveda

2)How did you become connected to make music?

We met through our friend Steve at a club called Detour.

3)What are your musical influences?

De/Vision, And One, Melotron, Depechemode and other 80's new wave bands.

4)What is your live show like?

John plays keyboards and back-up vocals, while I am singing lead and playing a keyboard at the same time.

5)Tell us about your own unique style of music?

IN-A-SENSE can be described as electo-pop with an edge. Dancabel and catchy revolving around strong melodies reminiscent of the 80's, but with a modern twist.

6)What serparates your band from all the other bands out there?

We sound like some of the 80's new wave bands without cloning them.

7)How do you go about writing songs?

I think of an event that happens in my life or in a dream I have and start writing lyrics. Sometimes when I am sleeping I hear a melody in the back ground of my dream . I wake up and record it on the synth and go back to sleeep. I then work on the rest of the song when I wake up.

8)Pick one of your latest song and talk about everything from writing it, meanings, the challenges of recording it?

One of the latest songs John and I worked on is called " Forgive Me " . I saw on TV that a police officer had been shot and made the ultimate sacarifice. I wrote the lyrics explaining the events that had lead up to his death. Some of the events that take place in the song are :The officer chasing and unknown man that shot a husband for no reason at all.. Both the officer and the man fire their guns at each other and both fall to the ground. The officer is trying to to tell his wife or girlfriend to forgive him for dying and leaving her behind. The challenge was the music had to be semi agressive, but not Industrial. I wanted to stay with in the electo-pop/synth-pop genre. I was satified at the end result. "Forgive Me" is really danceable with a driving beat.

10)Where do you hope to be in 5 year with your band? We are currently looking for a label to call home. Hopefully being signed and perfroming around the United States and Europe.

11) How are people currently reacting to your music?

From the reveiws and the live shows we have had they really like our music. Our following get bigger every show we do.

12) What would be the 10 3 reasons for listening to you music?

It is catchy, the lyrics have meanings, and really danceable music that makes you want to dance.

13) What is your best experience as a band?

The best experience I had when we were playing at The Ultra Sound Lounge in Long Island , New York . At the performance people we never met before came to see us because they knew our music and picture from the internet. They also asked when we coming out with our full-lenght CD and where can they buy it. I am new to performing my own music and I took it as a compliment that people wanted to hear more of my music.

14) What is your worst experience as a band?

The worst experience as a band was when a label told us that are music was really good for Synth-pop but the Synth-pop/electro-pop scene was on it way out. I took it as one opinion, but I know there are tons of electro-pop/synth-pop fans looking to hear new bands.

15)What is most important to you in your band?

What is most important is having fun in a band and not being to serious.

16) Do you have a personal favorite song?

One my personal favorite songs is called " Breath With Me"

17) What was the hardest song to write and why?

One of the hardest Songs to write was "Beautiful Girl", becasue I wanted to write about the cruelty of child abuse without exposing the individual I was writing it about.

18) What do you think of the current gothic/ EBM/ Industrial/ noise/ synthpop etc scence today?

I still think the scene is great , but it is falling short from when I was a teen. There are clubs I used to go to closing all the time. When I want to go out to a club I now have to see if they are still open or not. The music though seems to be getting better and better with all the new bands coming out.

19) What music do you current listen to?

I am listening to the new "AND ONE" CD that came out a few months ago. It is all in german, but the music is really inventive.

21) How do you keep change your music from album to album or plan to change it?

This is our first album so I will see what people like on it and go from there.

22) What kind of recording environment do you have?

We do our recording in both of our houses. John and I have similar synths and recording equipment do all we have to do is burn our works on to CD and bring it to each other's houses. 23)How long did you spend on your latest effort? I spent approximately two weeks on "Forgive Me".

24 What is the hardest thing about being in a band for this genre? The hardest thing about being a band in this genre is to hold true to yourself not other peoples opinions.
